How federal stimulus money will be used for key New Hampshire highway projects and the future of commuter rail in the state will be among the topics discussed at an April 16 event in Concord.
The Business and Industry Association, in partnership with the Associated General Contractors of NH, NH Municipal Association and A Safer Road to Tomorrow Coalition, will present a luncheon forum dedicated to the current and future state of New Hampshire infrastructure. The event, titled “Transportation Challenges and Opportunities for the Granite State,” will be held April 16 from noon to 1:30 PM at the Holiday Inn, Concord. Registration begins at 11:30 AM.
Sponsored by the Louis Berger Group, Pike Industries and New Hampshire Business Review, the forum will focus on several transportation-related topics, including: the state of New Hampshire’s infrastructure, the impact and timing of federal stimulus money on key highway projects, the health of the NH Highway
Fund and the need for additional revenue, and the future of commuter rail in
New Hampshire.
Featured panelists will include U.S. Rep. Paul Hodes (D – District 2), NH Transportation Commissioner George Campbell, State Rep. David Campbell (D – Nashua), and Pike Industries President Christian Zimmerman.
